Ottawa Ganesh Mahotsav (Ottawa Ka Raja) was introduced to Ottawa, Canada in 2019. For the first time in Canada, a 14 feet Ganesh idol was ceremoniously installed by OMG, spearheaded by Jay Chadha.
The venue for the first year (2019) was EY Centre. This was one of the biggest and most talked about events in Ottawa with around 5,000 visitors in the 7 days. There was overwhelming community support and excitement to see the Ganesh Festival of this scale for the first time in Canada. Various local artists and some overseas performers participated in a wide variety of programming.
The festival was virtual in 2020 due to COVID-related restrictions.
In 2024 OMG & Rang Manch will celebrate Ganesh Utsav in person. Our venue this year is Blu Legacy Convention Centre. We invite you to be part of the most awaited event in Ottawa from September 7th, 8th & 9th! If you want to volunteer for the event, please contact us on the Facebook page of Ganesh Utsav 2024 – Ottawa Ka Raja.
We look forward to continued support from the community in Ottawa and beyond in the coming years.
